The value of the uniue collections depend not only on its integrity but also on the presence of exclusive copies. Contrary to popular belief is that the value of collectibles is determined not only by their age but by their rare factor. The less frequently encountered this or that thing the more it is valuable. For instance, ancient coins can be a hundred times cheaper than some of the coins of the early XX century.

There are two approaches to estimating the collectible things – subjective and objective. Subjective is determined solely by the individual collector, his enthusiasm and approach to collection unique factors. For one person the value of the coin is determined solely by its price. For others, the value of the coin is a historical component. Objective evaluation includes several very specific criteria for assessing the unique collection value: preservation of things (stamps, coins, books) and rarity (circulation).

The most liquid forms are now considered in numismatics and Faleristics. Firstly, they are most developed. Secondly, unlike the stamps, books and postcards, coins and awards are usually made of precious metals. Thus, when selling a collector, at least, you can expect to get value of the metal material of the specimen.

The beauty of collecting is the fact according to which you don’t need to replenish your collection annually. You you can look for the desirable copy over the years. From year to year, collectors grow in value, often outpacing the growth in its recognized investment items, precious metals and securities.

According to our exerience, we are not aware of falling prices for collectible stuff, except for a few, when it was caused by outright speculation in the market. The added value largely depends on its ability to find a suitable buyer, who, is naturally to look after by collectors. And for this you need to know your habitats – real and virtual ones.

One of the spread ways of collecting is bibliophily – that can be literally translated as love for books. Bibliophile is a person who collects the valuable and rare books, books with autographs, limited editions, comic books, leaflets, chromolithograph. So there are many bibliophiles who collect miniature books. Bibliophiles play a very important role in the preservation and accumulation of rare and valuable copies of entire collections of books, representing the scientific and cultural value to the state. Undoubtedly, the best gift for a bibliophile is a book!
